Silk
Launched in 1978, Silk® was first embraced as a
surprisingly delicious "health food" by the tofu-and-granola crowd
in our hometown of Boulder, Colorado. In a few short years, we grew
to become America's #1 soymilk brand, welcomed in refrigerators
across the country. Silk has changed a lot since those early days,
but our commitment to a healthier world has never wavered.
Today, Silk offers organic and natural plant-based products, like
our soymilk made from whole soybeans sourced in the United States.
Silk's next step in our proud tradition of good health, great taste
and plant-based nutrition is the launch of both Silk
PureAlmond® almondmilk and Silk Pure Coconut®
coconutmilk.
True to our spirit of health, Silk is out to make the world a
better place. The entire Silk portfolio is enrolled in the Non-GMO
Project, the nation's first system designed to test whether a
product has met defined standards for the presence of GMOs. In
addition, Silk was among the first U.S. brands to champion
renewable energy. Since 2003, we've offset the electricity used to
make our products with clean wind power.
